Beginning as a general contractor in 2005, Joshua Johns— owner and founder of Bowerbird Builders— originally made his start in Vancouver, BC. With a growing desire to return to his home in Washington state, in 2011 he and his family relocated to Orcas Island where his passion for art and craftsmanship wove into his work as a contractor. Inspired by sustainable and mindful building, he has put together a team of talented professionals and works steadily to create homes, solutions and sacred spaces for the community of Orcas Island.
